An Air India pilot & her favourite snack Kachori

Bumped into a friend at the airport she's working for Air India & here on vacation. Did a bit of catch-up & she told me a funny story which happens to one of their female pilots, earlier this year. A
Captain Trehan who refused to switch her scheduled Mumbai-Jodhpur-Delhi flight to a later direct flight between Mumbai and Delhi.  The pilot wanted to fly via Jodhpur, as she had arranged for the city's famous onion kachoris to be delivered to the Airport.
Trehan, was staying at a Mumbai hotel when she was ordered to change flights. Her original flight had been scheduled for 12pm but she was asked to switch to a 2pm flight. She ignored the orders and turned up to the airport for her original job, informing operators that she did not intend to change her plans.
Her refusal caused chaos among Air India staff as they scrambled to find a replacement pilot, delaying the Mumbai-Delhi flight by an hour.
However the famous kachoris was successfully delivered to Captain Trehan at Jodhpur airport and she took off for Delhi without delay. So funny right? Indian ladies sure are feisty!
By the way this is what kachoris look like incase you are curious...lol....

Panbesy review, 17 days later!

I took panbesy for a total of 2 weeks. I shed almost 5 kg in total- that's what I wanted.
After the fourth day, I took it alternately as I'm nearing my 'desired ' weight, also I've got a long flight!
In hindsight, it's has been a good experience as I didn't have to go through tedious workouts ....lol.... I'm just not a very active, gym-loving kinda girl.

Also it helps me to curb & control my normal food intake.
Now even after 17 days & I have stop panbesy, the urge to eat lesser still lingers- which is GREAT!!!

If you are heavy or your clothes/jeans feels tighter or you just want to shed a few kg - I think it's a good idea to try panbesy, for a few days. Of course there's some side effects but what's that compared to a slimmer body. After the initial help, if you can have a bit of discipline, you'll be able to look great all the time. Just think of that??? Haha... hope I can practice what I preach!

Fingers crossed.
Oh, I'm still on Garbaslim as it's pretty effective as a fat burner.

Where to get Panbesy or Duromine in Singapore? I got it from Dr Keith Ong , Parsons Clinic !

Panbesy review: 4th Day, Panbesy is quite effective !

Today is my fourth day on Panbesy & Garbaslim. So far I feel:

1. Quite alert
2. First 2 nights I don't sleep so well, but the next morning I don't feel tired at all, great isn't???
3. Last 2 nights I could sleep like a baby, could be I'm used to the pill already.

4. My mouth feels dry. A colleague who has taken this told me not to drink too much water, it's the body's way of disposing of all the bloatedness from water retention.. So should not keep drinking, just drink slightly more will do. That's a great advice.

5. My mood is unusually stable- why I mention this, is because some people reported mood swings- guess it don't happen to everyone. Me so lucky.

6. I still feel a little hungry, Dr had said to expect that as the panbesy drives our metabolism -so it's ok to feel hungry, just don't eat so much- that I can do haha.... just try not to take too much sweet things! Salad is good! I REALLY envy those girls who don't feel hungry- many of them don't!

Garbaslim, very effective!
7. Bowel movement is good. They told me, the fat burner Garbaslim has that effect. It certainly clears the system well. Love it!

That's all I felt.......  so on the whole , it's Good!

How much I've lost? Hmmm.... don't know yet, haven't weigh myself. But visually I 'm starting to see a slight difference. I think My face, my thighs looks slimmer ...haha....

Panbesy Review: Who has tried Panbesy?

It seems everyone has, with the exception of me! A good thing? Means I'm fit & slender?
No way! I've put on almost 3 kg since National day!
Even my uniform feels tight! yikes !!!!!

My BFF gave me her doc's contact yesterday morning & by noon I'm already in the clinic ! Was thinking what to say to the doc, while waiting for my turn,  should I go......

"DR I'm fat, give me some pills" or "Doctor you dont want to see a fat stewardess right? Think of my passengers.....do them a favour, give me the damn pills....lol...."
OH boy.... dr might refer me to IMH after...lol....

Thank GOD...... DR Keith Ong is nice & like super friendly. I got my panbesy without much fuss ...lol...

This morning I took 1 before breakfast. The whole day I feel a bit thirsty & unusually alert! Strange ! Called my buddy to report on my progress !

Will update later.....

Noises in tourist's head were from flesh-eating maggots

A British woman returned from a holiday in Peru hearing scratching noises inside her head to be told she was being attacked by flesh-eating maggots living inside her ear.

Rochelle Harris, 27, said she remembered dislodging a fly from her ear while in Peru but thought nothing more of it until she started getting headaches and pains down one side of her face and woke up in Britain one morning with liquid on her pillow.  Thinking she had a routine ear infection caused by a mosquito bite, she sought medical treatment at the Royal Derby Hospital in northern England, where a consultant noticed maggots in a small hole in her ear-canal.

"I was very scared. Were they in my brain?" said Harris, recounting her ordeal in a new Discovery Channel documentary series called "Bugs, Bites and Parasites" to be aired in the UK from July 21. Doctors tried first to flush the maggots out of the ear using olive oil.  "It was the longest few hours that I have ever had to wait... I could still feel them and hear them and knowing what those scratching sounds were, and knowing what that wriggling feeling was, that just made it all the worse," she said.

When flushing the maggots out failed, the medics resorted to surgery and found a "writhing mass of maggots" within her ear, raising concern they could eat into her brain.  The surgery removed a family of eight maggots. Analysis found that a New World Army Screw Worm fly had laid eggs inside Harris's ear.  "I'm not so squeamish around those kinds of bugs now. How can I be? They've been in my ear!" Harris said.

Water Fountains

Do you use water fountains when you travel? Apparently, public water fountains may have more bacteria than a public toilet, according to Smarter Travel.

You see toilets being cleaned a couple of times a day, but when was the last time you saw that public fountain being cleaned?

One study by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF International) found that the dirtiest spots in public schools were water fountains.
The next time you want to drink from the water fountain or refill your water bottle, you might want to buy a new bottle instead.

Model & pilots

Two pilots from Vietnam Airlines have been fined and suspended for a month, after a letting model pose in the co-pilot’s seat on a flight from Hong Kong to Hanoi last month.

Photos show the celebrity and former tourism ambassador for Vietnam, Ly Nha Ky, wearing a pilot’s hat and sunglasses, with the pilot next to her turned away from the controls. She was also seen hugging two flight attendants.

According to a report on CapitalBay, the plane was flying on auto-pilot at the time but aviation safety regulations were breached because the co-pilot had left his seat. The pilots had also allowed an unauthorised person into the cockpit.
This was also reported on multiple news sites online.
A Vietnam Airlines spokesperson said the airline had no prior knowledge of the incident and is waiting for official reporting from its staff, and that a separate investigation will follow.
In an earlier incident, Miss Universe Vietnam 2011 Hoang My was also caught in a plane cockpit.
LOL.... actually I cant blame her, the cockpit is really an unusual place. But the pilots should have known better...

Aircraft Tiolets

Small and confined, aircraft bathrooms are the perfect space for breeding of germs.
Apparently, the space is so small that flushing the toilet could potentially spray bacteria onto many surfaces in the bathroom, including the sink and sink top.

If the bathroom was dirtied by a messy passenger before you, be advised to wash your hands, use a paper towel to open the bathroom door, and then lather hand sanitizer when you return to your seat. As the saying goes, better safe than sorry.

Do you often fall sick when you travel or upon returning from a holiday?

Other than change in climate, TV remotes are apparently one of the germiest items in hotel rooms. According to studies, they have the "highest levels of bacterial contamination in the hotel room,"

Worse still, it revealed that housekeepers could do a good job of your bathroom but they rarely clean TV controls. But fret not, nowadays with smartphone apps, you can download one that allows your to control the TV with your smartphone. That way, no need for coming into too much contact with the bacteria-laden surfaces of the TV remote control

Airline Policy

An airline pilot wrote that on this particular flight he had hammered his plane  into the runway really hard.
The airline had a policy which required the first officer to stand at the door while the passengers exited, smile, and give them a, "Thanks for flying XYZ airline."

He said that in light of his bad landing, he had a hard time looking the passengers in the eye, thinking that someone would have a smart comment.

Finally, everyone had gotten off except for this little old lady walking with a cane.
She said, "Sonny, did we land or were we shot down?"

From a Southwest Airlines employee....

"Welcome aboard Southwest Flight XXX

To operate your seatbelt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight.
It works just like every other seatbelt, and if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised.
In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will descend from the ceiling.
Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face.

If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs.
If you are traveling with two small children, decide now which one you love more

After the plane landed.....

Announcement:

"As you exit the plane, please make sure to gather all of your belongings.
Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants.
Please do not leave children or spouses."
