    1. Jona sent me, who else....lol... He's always sending me cute stuff like this. But I don't think he took it himself though:) I seriously don't see him as some photographer. In fact I've NEVER seen him with a camera, he probably uses his h/p to take pix....lol...

    1. I just don't have that "artistic flair" - I've tried taking some creative shots.... but somehow they end up looking pretty " forced" ....lol..... well I'll keep trying :)

    2. Truth is even with experienced photographers, they also need to take like zillions of pics before they pick the one they 'like' for publication:)

  6. Is there some kind of course we can go to, to learn how to take these fun shots?

    1. You can attend some basic photography course but the rest is up to you. Some people just have the eye for such things :)

    2. Also it's all about timing. The pic above is a good e.g., I'm sure most people will never be able to capture this precise moment- also you need to be fast, as the plane is not waiting forever up there for you to take that shot ....lol.....

    3. Right if you are not steady, the shot might be blurr & you miss the chance of a life time! Damn... really like this shot :))

  7. I have a problem. Like now I see this great pic & I tot to myself, I'll try do something like that when I go on a flight next. But by the time I did that, standing in a foreign land with all the beautiful things around, I'll forget about these kind of shots.
I'll end up with the traditional boring pics of myself with flowers, with landmarks , pics of food etc... but will TOTALLY forget about trying for such cute shots!
    Really lousy!

    1. Hahha..... You are not alone, I guess most people are like that. Next time keep reminding yourself. Ask your traveling companions to remind you. Can remind each other throughout the whole trip. That way You'll try harder & would definitely come back with great shots ! good luck!

    2. Agree that will make travelling more interesting :)

  8. May I make a suggestion? Where don't interested parties just practice taking "interesting' shots right here at home? You don't need to do it only during your travels. Once you practice much, when you are on your vacation the next time, the 'skill' will kick in without you knowing:)

    3. If I'm not wrong this should be the Buddha from Ushiku,Japan- probably one of the tallest. Beautiful.
But my favourite is still the Leshan Giant Buddha !

    4. Zena thank you so much for this info, everyone wants to know where is this Buddha:)
I've yet to visit both mentioned. But would definitely love to check out the Leshan one:)

    5. Ya the one at Leshan is pretty iconic :)

    6. Hi, is the Buddha at Leshan the one that's featured in all those Chinese movies?

    7. I'm sure all the images in the movies these days are usually CGI. Having said that I thought I did see the Leshan Buddha in some movies, but cant remember which ones- quite old movies I guess.
