I
didn’t know what Losbster poutine is, until I visited Nova Scotia, last year. I
had promised myself to write about it but as usual life gets in the way &
it completely slipped my mind. Until 2 days when I looked through all pics
taken last year & there the pic of the dish pops up. And I almost booked
myself another ticket just to visit this beautiful place again. Well, the journey
is long & I seriously don’t have the time, so I started googling for the
recipe, hopefully mum can whip up some magic.
As
you have it, the recipe is so simple, 3 delicious food items and throw them together
in a bowl. End of recipe. It’s like a big pile of everything you’ve ever loved,
only covered in gravy and cheese . So, really, it is better than everything
you’ve ever loved.
Last year I ran
out of places to visit & sure enough, Lolli my bestie suggested Nova
Scotia. Hmmm…. Never thought of that place. Just know it through my mum’s
favourite Singer carly Simon’s classic hit : “You’re so Vain”. Anyway fast
forward, within like 2 months, me, Lolli & mum were in Nova Scotia! The
best place on Earth & we have our first taste of the Lobster Poutine- the
pride of Nova scotia besides Carly Simon’s “you’re so vain” of course. First
tried it at McKelvie's Delishes Fishes Dishes. We ate it for lunch, went back
for dinner & rushed to another restaurant for it the following day at breakfast.
Mum suggested we should buy property in town so that we could stick around for
more.
Is
lobster poutine so good? Yes it is !
